Book 27 of 27 in the New Testament — Christ's victory & renewal.
Revelation records a series of visions given to the apostle John while exiled on the island of Patmos, addressed first to seven churches facing pressure to compromise under Roman persecution. Through vivid, often symbolic imagery, the book unveils the risen and glorified Christ, escalating judgments on a rebellious world, and the ultimate defeat of evil. It closes with one of Scripture's most breathtaking pictures of restoration — a new heaven and a new earth where God dwells directly with his people, and ‘there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain.’ Written to persecuted believers, its central message is that Christ's victory is certain, whatever the present cost.
